Tax Ammendments Workshop 2026

The Tax Amendments and Greylisting Compliance Workshop, hosted by the Business Council of Papua New Guinea, was a one-day engagement on the 10th of March 2026 designed to help businesses (and especially our Business Council PNG membership) understand recent regulatory changes affecting Papua New Guinea’s business environment. Held in collaboration with government agencies, regulators, and financial institutions, the workshop focused on the implications of newly introduced tax amendments and the country’s current greylisting status. These developments have introduced new compliance, reporting, and operational expectations for businesses across multiple sectors.

The event created a platform for direct dialogue between the private sector and key regulatory stakeholders. Experts and officials provided guidance on how the tax reforms and strengthened anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing measures impact business operations, banking relationships, and international trade. Through presentations and discussions, the workshop aimed to clarify compliance requirements, outline practical steps businesses must take, and equip participants with the knowledge needed to adapt to evolving regulatory standards while maintaining operational stability.
