The 40th Australia Papua New Guinea Business Forum & Trade Expo marks a significant milestone in the bilateral relationship between the two nations, coinciding with Papua New Guinea’s 50th year of independence.

Held at the Stanley Hotel & Suites in Port Moresby from June 23rd to 25th, 2025, the Forum carried the theme: “Securing the Future of Investments – Stori Bilong Yumi: From Shells to Artificial Intelligence.”

The event reflected on the evolution of trade and business — from traditional exchange systems to today’s digital and innovation-driven economies — while celebrating the enduring partnership between Australia and Papua New Guinea and exploring future opportunities for growth and sustainable investment.

The Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council, in collaboration with the Business Council of Papua New Guinea, hosted the 40th Business Forum and Trade Expo. For over four decades, the Australia PNG Business Council has served as a premier platform for fostering dialogue, promoting investment, and encouraging commercial collaboration between the two countries.
