The History
The Fresh Program is an internship program that was initiated by the Business Council of Papua New Guinea (BCPNG) in 2020 to provide nation-building exposure to tertiary institute students. The BCPNG piloted the Fresh Programme Internship in 2020 with just 12 interns from the University of Papua New Guinea and has grown to absorb a total of 117 interns since then and now includes students from the Pacific Adventist University.
The interns are from a range of programs including Science, Business, Humanities, Law and Medicine and Health Sciences. Over the years the program has evolved to adapt a more structured and detailed approach targeted at interns having full exposure to character building, nation building, and to various professional workspace experience.
